Role Summary: The Senior Insurance Specialist will play a vital role in managing and optimizing insurance processes and help us identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks for our organization. The position requires a deep understanding of insurance policies, financial institutions, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and efficiency. The successful candidate will provide insurance administration and servicing support. What You’ll Do: Review and validate insurance requirements for permanent and construction loans to ensure compliance with lender guidelines and contractual obligation to support on time closings. Analyze borrower-provided insurance certificates, policies, binders, and endorsements for adequacy of coverage, limits, and proper naming; identify gaps and communicate corrective actions to borrowers and brokers. Verify mortgagee clauses, additional insured endorsements, and other required provisions. Consult with internal stakeholders to gather loan information and mitigate exposures. Assist in contract review and recommend insurance provisions to align with insurance risk management standards. Track and process departmental billings, payments, and insurance documentation throughout the loan lifecycle. Prepare insurance exception requests, loss summaries, and management reports. Conduct document retrieval, data management, and research to support portfolio-level activities. Deliver training sessions to educate staff on insurance policies, procedures, and best practices. Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks impacting insurance programs. Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills and Experience: 3-5 years of experience in risk management, broker, carrier or underwriting. A bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business administration, insurance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ARM, CPCU, CRM) are preferred but not required. Working knowledge and understanding of property and casualty insurance and claims management. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong analytical and quantitative skills to process and interpret complex data. Effectively manages/balances multiple and sometimes competing priorities. The salary range is $85,000 – $100,000, dependent on experience. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
