Role Description This is a full-time, remote position for the role of VP of Capital Partnerships. (Preferably in Atlanta Metro area) Your role is simple: TAKE THE DEALS WE PREPARE AND GET THEM FUNDED. The VP of Capital Partnerships will be responsible for developing and nurturing strategic partnerships with financial institutions, investors, and other funding sources. Duties include: • Identifying and securing capital opportunities • Creating strategies to connect small businesses with funders • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure client readiness for funding. This role will work CLOSELY with our VP of Business Partnerships — They feed warm opportunities, You connect them to funded deals. Together, you keep the pipeline strong & revenue flowing. Qualifications • 7+ years in Capital Advising; Business Lending, NMTC, SBA/CDFI, Venture Capital, M&A, etc. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA is preferred • Strong skills in business development, relationship management, and partnership building • Experience in financial markets, investment analysis, and capital acquisition strategies • Experience in working with entrepreneurs or small business owners is a plus • Ability to analyze market trends and identify funding opportunities • Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Proven history of placing and closing deals • Active funder relationships (decision-makers, not generic LinkedIn contacts) Compensation Structure: Phase 1 — Commission Only (First 4–6 Months): • 10–15% commission on Success Fees for every client you bring in • No base salary during this phase • This helps validate if this role is a good fit Phase 2 — Salary Activation (Whichever Comes First): • $80K–$110K salary triggers: After 4–6 months, OR • Close $1.5M–$3M in approved deals How to Apply Send the following to info@the-clevergroup.com: • Resume or CV • Brief overview of your capital network outlining: • Industry Experience • Examples of types of funders (lenders / investors) you have direct relationships with • Summary of your recent deal placement history Application Deadline: December 29, 2025 Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
