POSITION SUMMARY The Chicago School is seeking a Campus Operations Coordinator to play a key role in maintaining a campus environment that is functional, prepared, and ready to support our campus community. The Campus Services Coordinator is a member of the Chicago Campus Operations team, which oversees the daily service, space, and facility operations that keep the campus running smoothly. In this role, you will help maintain operational readiness through proactive facilities coordination, vendor oversight, inventory management, and logistical support. Our campus operates seven days per week, and this position may require evening and weekend coverage to meet operational needs. Campus Operations functions as a collaborative team grounded in shared ownership. While each role has a primary focus, we work closely together and step in where needed to ensure a seamless campus experience particularly during peak periods, major events, or times of increased operational demand. PRINCIPAL DUTIES Daily Operations Support daily operational workflows to ensure classrooms, offices, and shared spaces are prepared, functional, and aligned with campus standards. Perform opening and closing procedures, verifying building readiness, safety systems, space conditions, and ensuring all areas are secured. Maintain a visible campus presence to monitor conditions, identify operational issues, and ensure a clean and safe environment. Support office moves, furniture reconfigurations, classroom setups and event-related setups or breakdowns. Crosstrain on welcome desk workflows to maintain service continuity and coverage during peak periods or absences. Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries, mail, and shipments, ensuring accurate sorting, documentation, and timely distribution. Create and update ID cards for faculty, staff, and students in accordance with access protocols. Monitor and replenish inventory for classrooms, offices, kitchens, and shared spaces, ensuring supplies are organized and available. Team and Campus Support Submit, track, and follow up on work orders for maintenance, custodial, and facilities needs; verify completion and communicate updates to stakeholders. Support onsite vendors and contractors by coordinating access and ensuring work meets campus standards. Monitor and respond to the campus operations inbox, addressing operational inquiries from students, faculty, and staff. Collaborate with the Chicago Operations team, Facilities, IT, Academic Departments, Student Services, and others to ensure coordinated and timely support. Assist with the onboarding and training of student workers. Execute campus emergency procedures as trained and assist with evacuations, safety drills, and maintenance of emergency supplies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED. 1+ years of facilities or operational support experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and facilities ticketing systems. Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Availability to work evenings and weekends. Ability to lift, push, and pull approximately 50 pounds. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate or bachelor's degree. Experience in facilities coordination, logistics, or higher education operations. Experience working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. Compensation & Benefits This opportunity is budgeted at $$23.64 - $25.64 base compensation.
