Lead, mentor, and grow a small engineering team, participate in hands-on coding, and establish engineering processes.
1-2 years of team-leading experience, recent hands-on coding, familiarity with full-stack development, and experience in application-level software businesses.
Roles and Responsibilities: • Lead, mentor, and grow the engineering team • Hands-on technical work including conducting detailed code reviews • Establish and refine engineering processes and systems (e.g., using Linear) to help the team scale effectively • Partner with the CEO and CTO to set the technical direction and ship product features • Own the full delivery lifecycle, from planning and execution to ensuring quality • Establish processes and lead team growth from 5 to 15 engineers Job Requirements: • 1-2 years of team-leading experience • Application-level software experience • Startup experience preferred (not exclusively big tech) • Full-stack capability preferred • Familiarity with Next JS, Clickhouse, and Temporal is advantageous (not critical) • Recent, hands-on coding experience (within the last year) • Experience working at application-level software businesses (i.e. not only at infrastructure software companies) • Degree from a top-tier university (preferred) • Comfortable owning complex systems and debugging in production • High-slope individual with a bias for action
