Duration: 6+ months Payrate: $45-50/hr Location: 100% REMOTE Description: As a Redis Software Engineer, you will educate and collaborate with customers to create customized Redis-powered solutions for their specific business and database needs, helping them increase business value and overcome challenges. You will drive POCs, pilots, challenges, and evaluations, working hands-on with our customers using one of the best technologies in the market for both on-prem and cloud Redis installations. Responsibilities: • Help customers meet their technology and business requirements with Redis databases, utilizing Redis products and solutions for on-premises and cloud services. • Understand, quantify, and verify the business needs of customers and their specific use cases. • Work diligently with the customer's technical teams (architects, developers, PMOs, and C-level experts) to ensure the success of all customer POCs and pilots. • Handle Technical Escalations: Engage in complex troubleshooting and manage technical escalations. • Ensure System Reliability: Leverage your software development and problem-solving expertise to create automation tools and runbooks, enhancing the reliability and stability of the Redis database on a leading cloud service provider. • Collaborate with Development Teams: Partner closely with development teams during service-impacting incidents, leading problem management efforts to maintain service continuity and stability. • Participate in On-Call Rotations: Be available for occasional weekend on-call shifts, providing critical support and ensuring service reliability. • Lead and consult on moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering, contributing to strategic planning and execution. Requirements: • 4+ years of non-internship IT experience. • At least 3+ years of experience troubleshooting production systems for Redis and/or other IMDG technologies. • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure. • Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix. • Deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP) with emphasis on the various cloud providers. • Experience with alerting and monitoring systems. • Experience in programming languages: Bash, Python. C# is a plus. • Familiarity with source code version control tools like Git, Gitlab, SVN, etc. • Experience in analyzing and debugging production issues at scale. • Self-directed, ambitious, authentic, caring, and eager to learn new things. • Experience with 24/7 on-call rotation.
