Role Overview: As a Public Relations/Marketing Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our advocacy efforts by helping to craft compelling messages and campaigns that engage the public and policymakers. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit communications and marketing while contributing to a meaningful cause. What You'll Do: - You will assist in developing and executing public relations and marketing campaigns to promote The Borgen Project’s mission. - You will create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the website to increase awareness and support. - You will help monitor media coverage and compile reports on campaign effectiveness. - You will support outreach efforts by coordinating with volunteers, partners, and stakeholders. - You will assist in organizing events and webinars to engage the community and policymakers. - You will conduct research on current global issues to inform communication strategies. - You will contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop innovative advocacy ideas. What You Bring: - You have completed or are pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. - You possess strong written and verbal communication skills. - You have experience with social media platforms and content creation. - You are detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. - You demonstrate a passion for social justice and global issues. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. - Familiarity with media monitoring and analytics tools. - Previous internship or volunteer experience in nonprofit communications. - Knowledge of international development or advocacy work.
