Senior Quality Engineering Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a 787 Senior Quality Engineering Manager to join our BSC Quality Engineering team based in North Charleston, SC. The 787 Quality Organization is seeking individuals to lead our Quality Engineering Teams. Successful candidates will be involved in developing and maintaining the quality systems across the 787 Production System and lead teams in high visibility projects to improve 787 quality execution. This role will be leading teams to problem solve and work projects throughout the value stream from supply chain through fleet. A strong focus on integration, problem solving, and analytical and/or statistical methods will help drive success in these roles. Position Responsibilities: Manages employees and first-level managers performing quality engineering and technical activities on the 787 Program through all phases of the product lifecycle. Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans. Provides education and coaching on the Quality System. Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports. Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility. Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 5+ years of experience root cause analysis and corrective action 5+ years of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring a technical team Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 1+ years of experience performing statistical analysis 1+ years of experience working with data visualization Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through diverse approaches Experience with Engineering and Change Processes Experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
