Position Responsibilities Works collaboratively with technical experts and communications peers, develops, owns and executes the strategic communications plan for 737 development communications (737-7 and 737-10) Grasps complex, detailed information and translates it into clear and compelling communications Applies knowledge of fundamental communications and branding principles to create and coordinate compelling content for internal and external audiences Special emphasis on storytelling (written and video) to demonstrate progress and momentum in airplane manufacturing, certification and delivery Plans and manages the promotion of stories, including internally and, when warranted, with key media Prepares responses to media inquiries about development program activities Anticipates, plans for and manages through issues; ensures awareness of potential issues; prepares messaging and communications; coordinates business and functional approvals Serves as the primary subject matter expert in Communications on 737 development activities and as the point of entry for Communications requests about the development program Represents Communications on the 737 development program leadership team, attending program meetings and advising executives on Communications Collaborates closely and regularly with the primary 737 communicator, 737 brand manager and the 737 Marcomm team and Customer (Sales) Communications to ensure alignment Collaborates closely with Renton site communicator to ensure 737 development audiences are captured in distribution lists and to feed development content into site and manager communications Remains curious and unafraid to ask questions to continue learning Key Competencies Boeing Values: Commitment to safety and quality, people focus, trust, ownership and innovation Collaborate: Capable to bring people together on a project basis and keep them focused on shared objectives.
