Estimating and Pricing Material Functional Excellence Manager Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Government Estimating, Methods and Tools team is looking for an Estimating and Pricing Material Functional Excellence Manager supporting Estimating Functional Excellence to join the team in Hazelwood, MO or Mesa, AZ. This position reports into the Director, Estimating Functional Excellence. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with proven experience driving process improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams, adept at aligning stakeholders and delivering measurable operational gains. They possess strong executive communication skills, routinely presenting complex data and strategic recommendations to Senior Leadership both within and across functions. Comfortable building high-impact, executive-level presentations, they translate analysis into clear, actionable insights and confidently advocate recommendations in leadership briefings to secure alignment and drive results. Position Responsibilities: Demonstrates Project management skills with an ability to focus on and finish on large scale simplification projects Leads the Government Estimating proposal processes for material estimating and pricing methods, tools and processes related to material costing Demonstrates problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Consults and manages laterally across large cross-functional teams to understand complex Estimating requirements and processes and be able to translate them to scalable, compliant, best-in-class solutions Provides day-to-day leadership of the Material Functional Excellence team Conveys complex analysis and recommendations to Directors and Vice Presidents (VPs) Leads the rollout of new or enhanced Estimating tools, methods, and processes in the material estimating statement of work Oversees the evaluation and development of complex and innovative business cases Manages long term data analytics strategy to support complex analyses of material estimates Develops database requirement strategies and leads projects to identify new sources of material estimating data and methods of integrating material estimating data Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s degree or higher 5+ years of experience in any combination of Material Cost Analysis, Material Estimating, Finance, and/or Material Accounting 5+ years of experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, material estimating and pricing tools and processes Experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role Experience acting as a subject matter expert in the development, implementation and training of processes and tools Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business related curriculum such as: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Data Analytics, Marketing, Economics or Math Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
