Position Title: Sr. Full Stack Engineer (70% backend, 30% front-end) Location: Remote - USA Let's create our future together at The AES Group! Key Responsibilities: • Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting. • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems • Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems • Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Qualifications: • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing and operational stability • Requires experience with the following: React, Java/J2EE, and AWS • Proficient in coding in Java languages • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages • Hands On experience in Private and Public Cloud Platform like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle • Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security • Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Prefer experience with the following: • Linux, Unix, Windows, Agile SDLC, Application Architecture Disciplines, Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines, Apache Kafka, Docker, Jenkins, NodeJS, Spring, C++, CSS, Hibernate, HTML, JQuery, Selenium, Shell Scripting, SQL, Typescript, XML, Angular, Apache Tomcat, Bootstrap, REST, WebSphere, Maven, Swift, JSON, Kubernetes, Apache Zookeepter, AWS Cloud Services, Dynatrace, Hadoop, Hive, Splunk, Apache Subversion, GIT, Cucumber, Junit, Automated Testing, Blackbox Testing, Functional Testing, Manual Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, System Integration Testing, Unit Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
