• Job Title : Director of Rehabilitation • Location: San Francisco, CA • Employment Type: Full-Time • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week • Department: Rehabilitation Services • Facility Size: 126 Beds Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to oversee rehabilitation operations at our 126-bed facility in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will provide strong clinical leadership, manage daily departmental operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires an experienced licensed therapist (PT, OT, or SLP) with proven leadership capabilities. Weekend rotation is not required. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Staff Management • Lead, supervise, and support all rehabilitation staff, including PT, OT, and SLP teams. • Coordinate staffing schedules, caseload assignments, and productivity expectations. • Provide training, performance evaluations, and mentorship for clinical staff. • Foster a collaborative and patient-centered environment. Clinical & Operational Oversight • Ensure delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services across all disciplines. • Oversee patient evaluations, treatment planning, and continuity of care. • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control • Maintain compliance with CMS, state, federal, and facility regulations. • Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor departmental performance. • Conduct audits and ensure proper coding, billing, and reimbursement processes. Qualifications • Licensed PT, OT, or SLP in the state of California (required). • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. • Strong knowledge of rehab guidelines, Medicare regulations, and documentation standards. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Experience • Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), hospital, or long-term care environment. • Familiarity with EMR and rehab-specific software. • Proven success in managing teams and driving clinical quality improvements.
