San Marcos, TX Texas State University Assistant Director - Processing Posting Number: 2026021 Location: San Marcos, Other - Hybrid/Remote Work Department: Office of Undergraduate Admissions Recruitment Type: Open Recruiting Job Type: Full-Time Monthly Salary: $5,833.33 + commensurate with qualifications Job Category: Exempt Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree • Knowledge of college admissions policies and procedures • Strong organizational skills • Demonstrated experience analyzing business processes and solutions to enhance operational efficiency • Excellent communication skills and the ability to solve problems independently • Proven ability to manage and supervise full-time staff including hiring and conducting annual performance reviews to support staff development Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s Degree • 3-years experience in college admissions or a higher education setting • Experience working in the Banner Student Information System and Slate CRM or equivalent • Admissions Processing experience including strategic planning to meet enrollment goals • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate, and gather detailed specifications to request reports, queries, or other data from TXST technology partners Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Processing, the Assistant Director is responsible for oversight of undergraduate domestic applications and data operations. This position is also responsibility for the supervision of the senior admission specialists and their direct reports. Job Duties: • Support the Director Admissions Processing with overall office organization and efficiency • Analyze admissions business processes, propose efficiencies and implement solutions. • Liaison to the IT unit and TXST Global Slate team. • Supervise and manage full-time staff for domestic applicants and data operations. • Coordinate and strategically plan daily, weekly, and monthly task assignments to align with and support overall enrollment goals.
