Job Summary As a Warehouse Worker at Texas Labor Corp., you will play a crucial role in supporting our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will encompass receiving, storing, and shipping products, ensuring efficient material handling, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding safety and quality standards within the warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities • Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials or finished products onto skids or hand trucks. • Inventory Management: Stack and rotate merchandise for upcoming orders; perform weekly inventory controls. • Order Preparation: Prepare route orders daily and scan returned products. • Warehouse Maintenance: Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe; sweep and mop floors daily. • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks; perform basic maintenance tasks. • Safety Compliance: Charge equipment, check water levels, and ensure warehouse doors are locked and lights are turned off when leaving. • Reporting: Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor. • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience: Previous experience in warehouse or material handling roles is preferred. • Skills: Basic math and computer skills; ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items; stand and walk for extended periods. • Certifications: Forklift certification may be required. Compensation • Salary: Competitive hourly wage, approximately $16 - $17.00 per hour. • Work Environment: Dynamic and supportive team atmosphere with opportunities for growth.
