Diploma or Equivalent Req and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1,2009 Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Req Bachelor's Degree Pref Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req Experience 3 Years current operating room experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist Req and 2 Years previous experience as in a leadership role (i.e. board runner, committee chair, preceptor) Pref Skills and Abilities A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Licenses and Certifications CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate of an accredited surgical tech program. Upon Hire Req CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 Upon Hire Req CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology. 2 Years Req LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire And BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req What You Will Do This position provides leadership and directs functions of assigned area and ensures effective delivery of patient care as well compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures. The supervisor collaborates with the manager and/or director, medical director, physicians and nursing leaders in the development or modification of procedures, policies and protocols using an evidence-based approach. The supervisor is responsible and accountable for supervision of personnel, quality/performance initiatives, and operational efficiencies of this department.
