Diploma or Equivalent Req and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1,2009 Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Req Bachelor's Degree Pref Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Req Experience 3 Years current operating room experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist Req and 2 Years previous experience as in a leadership role (i.e. board runner, committee chair, preceptor) Pref Skills and Abilities A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Licenses and Certifications CST - Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and graduate of an accredited surgical tech program. The supervisor collaborates with the manager and/or director, medical director, physicians and nursing leaders in the development or modification of procedures, policies and protocols using an evidence-based approach. The supervisor is responsible and accountable for supervision of personnel, quality/performance initiatives, and operational efficiencies of this department.
