Builds Python-based services using AWS Lambda and AWS Fargate, develops secure APIs through Amazon API Gateway, and integrates application components with SQL databases. The role emphasizes reliable cloud deployments, scalable application design, API quality, secure implementation, operational readiness, and collaboration with architecture, DevOps, and platform teams. Key Responsibilities Cloud-native application development - Design, develop, test, and maintain AWS-based applications and services using Python and managed cloud capabilities. Serverless development - Build event-driven and request-driven application components using AWS Lambda, including integrations, failure handling, logging, and performance optimization. Container application delivery - Package and deploy application workloads using AWS Fargate and appropriate container-based runtime patterns. API engineering - Develop secure, maintainable REST APIs and service interfaces for internal and external application consumers. API Gateway enablement - Configure Amazon API Gateway routes, integrations, authorization, validation, throttling, monitoring, and error-handling patterns. SQL integration - Develop efficient SQL queries and integrate application services with relational databases while maintaining data integrity and performance. AWS deployments - Support application deployments across AWS environments and collaborate on repeatable CI/CD and release automation practices. Security and reliability - Apply secure coding, authentication, authorization, encryption, observability, resilience, and error-recovery practices. AWS Fargate Container packaging, task and service deployment concepts, configuration, logging, scaling, and application operations.
