Location: Remote in the U.S. Commitment: 10 hours per week Duration: 2 months, opportunity for extension Type: Contract About the Role We’re looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and assist with systems management, user troubleshooting, and infrastructure setup. This short-term, part-time role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in IT operations, networking, and security who enjoys solving problems and optimizing systems in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Provide remote technical support to end users, troubleshooting issues related to networks, applications, and operating systems (Windows and macOS). • Deploy and maintain Cloudflare Zero Trust and other networking/security tools. • Manage and configure devices using JumpCloud or similar device management solutions. • Administer and troubleshoot Google Workspace accounts and understand IAM (Identity and Access Management) principles. • Maintain and improve security configurations across systems and users. • Use GitHub for version control and perform basic scripting or automation tasks. • Assist in documenting IT processes, policies, and troubleshooting steps. Qualifications • 3–5 years of professional IT support or systems administration experience. • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices. • Hands-on experience with Cloudflare Zero Trust, JumpCloud, and Google Workspace. • Proficiency with both Windows and macOS environments. • Familiarity with GitHub and basic scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, or Python). • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) or security-focused certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM). Bonus Skills • Experience with endpoint security or MDM (Mobile Device Management). • Exposure to automation or DevOps workflows.
