Interior Design Assistant (Part-Time) I. About the Role Seeking a motivated, creative, highly organized Interior Design Assistant to help complete the furnishing, decoration, and outfitting of seven luxury homes, with five homes located in the San Francisco Bay Area, two in Mendocino, and one in Malibu. This role is an excellent fit for current interior design students or recent graduates who want hands-on experience working with high-end residential interiors. II. Responsibilities • Assist in styling, furnishing, and finishing decorative details across multiple homes. • Travel to properties (Bay Area, Mendocino, Malibu) as needed; mileage reimbursed. • Manage errands related to procurement and maintenance of furnishings—e.g., coordinating repairs, arranging reupholstery, and sourcing artisans or tradespeople. • Help prepare surplus furniture and décor for resale, auction, consignment, or charitable donation. • Assist with photo documentation, item measurements, and floor-plan placement planning. • Communicate clearly and professionally with owner, vendors, craftspeople, and property staff. III. Ideal Candidate • Currently enrolled in or recently completed an interior design program. • Energetic self-starter who enjoys hands-on design work and learning new skills. • Strong organizational abilities—able to track inventory, deadlines, and tasks across multiple projects. • Strong attention to detail. • Comfortable working independently. • Has reliable transportation and is willing to travel to properties as needed. • Ability to lift/lightly move furniture or décor items (within reasonable limits). IV.
