LOCATION: This is a remote position and can be based from any location within the United States. ABOUT THE JOB The Tepa Companies are seeking a Senior Vice President, Project Operations to be responsible for streamlining project operations and maximizing efficiency. This role oversees and optimizes project management processes across all service lines within the Tepa Companies by collaborating closely with senior leadership and project management personnel to develop and implement standardized project management procedures, ensuring alignment with approved business plans and enterprise goals. Job Functions: • Assist and mentor those with project management duties, ensuring effective training and support. • Assist with the onboarding process of those with project management duties to ensure they are aware of all standardized project management processes and company best practices. • Assist in the development of project plans and staffing strategies, ensuring alignment with approved business plans. • Manage the establishment and progression of a centralized Project Management Office (PMO) to meet or exceed enterprise goals. • Ensure compliance with project management policies and procedures across all service lines. • Foster collaboration and positive working relationships with all service line personnel to enhance project management efforts. • Facilitate initiatives for process improvement and collaborative problem-solving. • Promote team cohesion and job satisfaction within the organization to enhance staff retention and recruitment efforts. • Support cost estimating, scheduling, and review processes, collaborating with relevant stakeholders. • Attend regular program/project reviews to evaluate performance, address challenges, and document lessons learned. • Provide input on project team selection and subcontractor engagement as needed. • Assist project managers in addressing technical issues, cost control measures, and customer service requirements. • Communicate effectively with senior leadership on project performance and critical issues. • Participate in contract negotiations and dispute resolution meetings as necessary. • Conduct site and office visits to assess project status and client satisfaction as requested. • Collaborate with Division President(s) and Executive Vice Presidents to implement division-level goals and objectives, including enhancing project management capabilities and execution strategies. • Provide oversight on project execution and health, ensuring excellence and consistency. • Provide relevant input for bid review and Go/No-Go decisions. • Provide support to ensure project operations comply with company bonding and insurance programs and policies. • Design and implement training programs for current and future project managers (PMs), and others with project management duties, in collaboration with the Executive Vice Presidents and Corporate Training & Development Manager. • Develop and maintain project scheduling systems in line with industry best practices. • Drive project progress update programs. • Other duties as assigned. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, engineering, construction, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience • 10+ years’ experience developing cost estimates • 10+ years’ experience managing project teams as well as subcontractors • 15+ years’ direct experience in progressively responsible positions with a strong emphasis on project management • Proven organizational leadership, planning and problem-solving skills • Experience in an 8(a) organization • Experience in managing federal and non-federal projects • Strong knowledge of contract, subcontract, and other agreement language • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to keep and maintain confidential and secure records and information • Previous Tepa project management experience; preferred • PMP certification; preferred Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans
