Role Overview: As a Technical Business Analyst for the State of Michigan, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and support the development of effective IT systems that enhance operational efficiency. What You'll Do: - You will collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate detailed business and technical requirements. - You will analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation. - You will facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment on project goals. - You will support the development and implementation of IT solutions by providing clear and actionable requirements. - You will participate in both virtual and in-person interviews and meetings, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement. - You will assist in the preparation of project documentation, status reports, and presentations. - You will contribute to testing activities by reviewing test plans and validating that solutions meet business needs. - You will maintain a hybrid work schedule based in Lansing, Michigan, with a commitment to onsite presence as required. What You Bring: - You have at least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a technical or IT environment. - You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders. - You are proficient in business analysis tools and methodologies, including requirements gathering and process modeling. - You are located in Michigan and able to attend in-person interviews and work onsite in Lansing. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with government or public sector clients. - Familiarity with hybrid work environments and managing remote and onsite collaboration. - Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. - Certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).
