Job Title: Regional Sales Engineer/Representative (Northern US) Reports to: VP of Sales - Americas Basic Function: Achieve year over year top line growth in carbon fiber and value-added composite sales for Aerospace and Industrial applications through the development and achievement of sales objectives. Location &Travel: Prefer this position to be located in the Northern US. Would be open for location which fit into cross regional coverage within North America. Domestic and some International travel will be required. This person must also be able to work within a cross-cultural, cross-functional team of professionals and aspire to take on global leadership responsibilities when appropriate. Responsibilities: · Develop and execute regional sales and marketing strategies for assigned market segments and communicate/coordinate with regional counterparts on a global basis. · Develop and achieve annual sales budget and report actual performance vs budget on a monthly basis. · Maximize profitability by understanding market conditions and leveraging value where possible. · Identify new business opportunities that support new product development initiatives. · Identify downstream business opportunities/partnerships that secure carbon fiber sales and capture added value. · Maintain regional market characterization data such as market requirements, drivers, size, share, price, competitors, etc. · Maintain and enhance established key customer relationships to ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction. Negotiate annual supply and price agreements. · Represent the company at appropriate aerospace & industrial forums (CAMX, SAMPE, SAE, ANSI, etc.) and coordinates trade show exhibition activities as needed. · Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. · Continuously improve functional effectiveness by participating in appropriate continuing education classes, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, etc. · Control travel expenses to meet team departmental budget. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree in technical or other relevant major from an accredited university. · Knowledge of carbon fiber and/or composites markets. · Knowledge of supply chains and established key contacts within key market segments. · 2 to 8 years of sales experience, preferably in related fields such as aerospace, industrial and composites, selling to end use customers. · Ability to establish contacts at all levels of a customer organization and develop strong customer relationships. · Solid track record of developing and executing strategies to achieve sales targets. · Ability to identify market trends and requirements to support new product strategies and developments. · Ability to make cold calls to new customers and explore entirely new fields/markets. · Strong team player. · Strong written/verbal communication skills to effectively interface with external and internal customers. Ability to influence and ultimately lead an internal market specific global cross functional team. · Self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision. · Solid foundational computer skills, specifically Microsoft and CRM applications. · Must be a U.
