Medical Assistant (Contract Position) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Assignment Length: 13 weeks with strong potential to extend Setting: Outpatient clinic About the Role We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join an outpatient clinical practice on a contract basis. This role supports both patient care and administrative functions, helping ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent patient experience. What You Will Do • Prepare exam rooms and support patient flow • Room patients, take and document vital signs, and collect medical history • Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations and clinical procedures • Document accurately in the electronic medical record • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and maintain charts • Order and restock supplies to support patient care • Help maintain a clean and organized clinical environment • Follow Standard Precautions and appropriate PPE use What We Are Looking For • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting • Current BLS certification • EMR experience; familiarity with Cerner or Athena preferred • Professional communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced clinic • Reliability and ability to commit to the full contract schedule #teemajobs
