TCI has an immediate need for a Remote Systems Engineer in Louisville, KY. This is a long-term contract opportunity not available for C2C. NOTE: This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Residence (Green Card). SUMMARY The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing technical infrastructure while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement. This includes ensuring adherence to organizational technology standards across all areas—security, hardware, software, databases, desktop, network, server, storage, and peripherals. The Systems Engineer provides regular reports on the overall status and health of systems and infrastructure, enabling leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions. This role collaborates closely with the Solutions Architecture, Security, Automation, and Application teams to ensure that new products, technologies, and standards align with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include assisting with system rollouts, ensuring accurate design, installation, configuration, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, and documentation. The engineer also maintains existing infrastructure by keeping hardware, firmware, and software up to date. Additionally, this position contributes to organizational projects and initiatives, ensuring systems compatibility, integration, and adherence to industry best practices from planning through implementation. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and experience with complex hardware and software analysis. Working alongside architects and leadership, the Systems Engineer will help implement best practices, policies, and security standards that promote system availability, reliability, and optimal performance. Work Arrangement: This position offers the flexibility to work from home. However, employees may be required to complete training or attend business-related meetings on-site. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, or South Carolina. REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field and 3+ years of relevant work experience. OR 7 years of relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s Degree. VMware Certified Professional or Microsoft Azure DevOps Solutions Certification preferred. Remote work available; work hours are Eastern Time Zone.
