Full Description

We’re seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and operationalize production-grade AI and machine learning solutions that power real-world retail experiences. This role sits at the intersection of data science, software engineering, and applied machine learning—focusing on scalable AI systems that drive smarter inventory decisions, personalized customer engagement, and operational efficiency across a major omnichannel retail enterprise. You’ll play a hands-on leadership role in shaping the company’s AI journey from the ground up, working alongside data engineers, data scientists, and business partners to translate high-value use cases into robust, cloud-native AI systems. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models supporting retail and supply chain optimization, personalization, and operational automation. • Lead end-to-end AI lifecycle, including data acquisition, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring. • Architect scalable AI solutions using modern frameworks and cloud-native services (e.g., Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, or equivalent). • Collaborate cross-functionally with data, BI, and business teams to integrate models into enterprise applications and workflows. • Mentor junior engineers, review code and model designs, and establish best practices for model governance and versioning. • Drive innovation through research and experimentation with Generative AI, RAG pipelines, and agentic frameworks to enhance customer and associate experiences. • Ensure AI systems adhere to standards for data privacy, responsible AI, and ethical use. • Continuously monitor and improve model performance, scalability, and reliability in production. Required Qualifications • 6+ years of AI/ML engineering experience, including model design, development, deployment, and performance tuning. • Strong command of Python, with experience in libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and MLflow. • Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms (Google Vertex AI, Azure ML, or AWS SageMaker). • Proficiency in SQL and data engineering concepts (data lakes, warehouses, feature stores). • Experience building and managing MLOps pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and automated retraining systems. • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions in production environments. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Skills • Experience in retail or consumer-facing industries, with AI applications in pricing, personalization, logistics, or merchandising. • Familiarity with Generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic AI architectures. • Background in responsible AI, ethics, and explainability. • Proficiency with visualization and reporting tools to communicate AI outcomes to business stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to balance experimentation with production rigor in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
