Convert SAS programs from mainframe and server to GCP, refactor Base SAS code and models, develop SAS programs on multiple platforms, collaborate in agile teams, and mentor peers.
Bachelor’s degree, 10+ years in SAS development and administration, experience with SAS Viya, SAS 9.4 on Linux and mainframe, mainframe technologies, Teradata, Python and shell scripting on Linux.
What you’ll be able to do:Client SAS Services team is seeking an experienced Full-Stack SAS (Statistical Analysis Software) Software Engineering professional familiar with Lean, Agile, and eXtreme Programming (XP) practices. You will be converting SAS programs from mainframe & server over to GCP for various application teams within Ford Credit. Collaborate closely and continuously with fellow engineers, designers, and product ownersYou will help refactor Base SAS code along with models as needed.Develop SAS programs in SAS Mainframe, SAS Linux and SAS Viya (on GCP) platformsDevelop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutionsWork Closely with the Ford Credit Architecture development and research in building out new analytics and big data technologies for Global Analytics using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Perform research and Proof of Concepts for migrating tools and components from SAS based systems to GCP.Work in collaborative environment including pairing and mobbing with other cross-functional engineersWork on a small agile team to deliver working, tested productWork effectively with product owners, product designers and other technical expertsTake time to continuously learn and share with peersAct as a mentor for less-experienced peers through your technical knowledge/leadership skills and advocate for technical perfection The minimum requirements we seek:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related scientific field of study10+ years of professional development and administration experience with:Experience in Google Cloud Platform (especially BigQuery)SAS Viya programming on LinuxSAS 9.4 programming on Linux and Mainframe platformsMainframe experience (JCL, COBOL, CA7, DB2)Experience using TeradataExperience writing Python and shell scripts on Linux
