Full Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Business Development Associate to support the growth of our US business across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and clinical research sectors. The role will combine outbound business development, lead generation, client relationship building, market research, and participation in industry conferences and networking events. The successful candidate will be expected to actively engage with prospective clients through phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person industry events, representing the company professionally and helping generate qualified opportunities for CRO, FSP, and staffing services. Business Development & Lead Generation • Identify and research potential clients within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and CRO organizations. • Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospective clients. • Conduct outbound prospecting through: Email, LinkedIn, Phone calls, Industry databases, Networking and conferences • Identify key decision-makers within target organizations, including: Clinical Operations, Procurement, R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, HR/Talent Acquisition, Outsourcing/Vendor Management • Qualify leads based on business needs, project requirements, timelines, and decision-making processes. • Schedule introductory meetings between prospects and senior Business Development/technical teams. Client Relationship Management • Build and maintain professional relationships with prospective and existing clients. • Respond promptly to client inquiries and coordinate internally to obtain required information. • Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects to move opportunities through the sales funnel. • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and next steps. Proposal & Sales Support • Assist Business Development Managers/Directors with: RFI/RFP responses, Proposals, Statements of Work, Capability presentations, Pricing requests, Client presentations • Coordinate with internal teams including Clinical Operations, Medical Writing, Biostatistics, Data Management, Regulatory Affairs, Recruiting, and Project Management to obtain information for proposals. • Support preparation of client-facing presentations and capability decks. • Assist with handoff of awarded opportunities to delivery teams. Market Research • Research pharmaceutical and biotech companies, clinical development pipelines, outsourcing trends, and potential business opportunities. • Monitor competitor activities and market developments. • Identify conferences, industry events, and networking opportunities relevant to the company's services. • Maintain target-account lists and prospect databases. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Healthcare, or related field. • 1–3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Inside Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Recruiting, or another client-facing role. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong prospecting and follow-up skills. • Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting email/LinkedIn outreach. • Strong research and organizational skills. • Ability to communicate with professionals at different organizational levels. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot is preferred. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
