The OEM Enterprise Team is seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Program Director to serve as the primary leader and strategic architect for one of our major Detroit-based OEM accounts. In this pivotal role, you will go beyond managing day-to-day operations to actively identify, pitch, and secure new business opportunities that drive revenue and deepen our partnership with the client. You will act as the bridge between the client's executive leadership and our internal teams, ensuring the flawless execution of multi-product initiatives while constantly scouting for the "next big thing." If you are a strategic thinker with a hunter mentality and deep automotive expertise, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time, salaried, remote position. Candidate must be located within the continental U.S., eastern or central time zone highly preferred. Detroit major metro location, highly preferred. Responsibilities Strategic Growth & Business Development • Drive Revenue Expansion: Partner with leadership and sales teams to develop and execute comprehensive account growth plans. Your primary mandate is to not just maintain but significantly expand revenue within the account. • Identify New Opportunities: Proactively identify gaps in the client's current marketing or operational strategy where our products and services can provide solutions. • Lead Pitch Initiatives: Spearhead the development of proposals and pitch presentations for new business opportunities. Take ownership of the entire sales cycle for upsell/cross-sell initiatives, from opportunity identification to deal closure. • Cultivate Executive Relationships: Build and maintain high-level relationships with key OEM stakeholders. Use these relationships to gain "insider" knowledge of upcoming strategic shifts and position our agency as the go-to partner for new initiatives. Account Leadership & Operations • Holistic Account Management: Oversee all program initiatives across multiple product lines, including Websites, Digital Advertising, and Customer Life-Cycle Management. Ensure all programs align with the client's broader corporate goals. • Data-Driven Reporting: Go beyond basic reporting by analyzing campaign effectiveness to uncover trends that justify new investments. Deliver insights that demonstrate ROI and open doors for budget expansion. • In-Market Presence: Conduct monthly in-market visits to Detroit to foster face-to-face relationships, gather intelligence, and present business reviews directly to client leadership. Execution & Team Management • Orchestrate Execution: Coordinate across internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Digital, Development, Production, Creative) to ensure all deliverables meet client expectations and deadlines. • Manage & Mentor: Direct the daily tasks of the OEM Coordinator and/or Program Manager, ensuring high-quality output for meeting agendas, reporting decks, and client communications. • Problem Solving: Act as the final escalation point for production issues, working quickly to resolve errors and maintain client trust. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field • A minimum of 5+ years' professional experience in Automotive marketing, agency account management, or OEM operations is required • Proven track record of growing accounts and securing new business, highly preferred • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the automotive retail landscape, including websites, digital advertising, Tier 1/Tier 3 dynamics, compliance, and co-op programs • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, draft compelling proposals, and present to executive-level stakeholders with confidence • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to command a room and articulate complex strategies clearly • Travel: Ability to travel monthly to the Detroit Metro Area for high-stakes client meetings and relationship building • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is non-negotiable; ability to build persuasive decks and analyze complex data sets, a must! Attributes for Success: • Hunter Mentality: You are never satisfied with the status quo and are always looking for the next win. • Strategic Thinker: You see the big picture and can connect the dots between client needs and agency solutions. • Detail-Oriented: You ensure nothing falls through the cracks, even while managing high-level strategy. • Self-Starter: You don't wait for permission to innovate; you take ownership and drive results.
