Team Red Dog is partnering with a Fortune 100 technology leader to hire an experienced Project Manager – Device Portfolio Assortment to support high-visibility Windows Consumer device portfolio planning across global retail, silicon, and partner ecosystems. This remote contract opportunity offers the chance to drive large-scale device assortment strategy, reporting, and execution across multiple Microsoft stakeholder groups in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Top Required Skills (Must Haves): • 5+ years of Microsoft experience supporting cross-functional programs within sales, devices, or partner organizations. • 8+ years of complex project management experience supporting data, reporting, and category or product initiatives with strong change management exposure. • Advanced Excel, BI reporting, data tracking, and PowerPoint development for executive-level business reviews. • Consumer retail, silicon, and/or device partner engagement experience supporting assortment or portfolio planning initiatives. Opportunity Overview: This role plays a critical part in driving the Windows Consumer device portfolio assortment strategy across field, retail, and global partner teams. You will oversee device collection readiness, assortment tracking, forecasting, and performance analysis while ensuring alignment across Device Partner Sales, Consumer Sales Organization, Silicon partners, and regional leadership. This is a highly visible role supporting strategic business decisions that directly impact device mix, promotion, and retail execution. How you will make an impact: • Maintain Collection and Hero Device lists aligned with DPS and business groups. • Manage global change communication and governance for device collection updates. • Support field and retail readiness across all collection and hero devices. • Create and maintain assortment planning templates, line logic, and heatmaps. • Support rollout, training, and adoption of new assortment tools and frameworks. • Track and analyze weekly and monthly assortment performance for top retailers. • Build executive-level dashboards and summaries highlighting progress, risks, and decisions. • Lead lookbacks and calibrations to inform future assortment, promotion, and volume strategies. • Consolidate and publish core communications including presentations, scorecards, and newsletters. • Drive cross-functional program execution across global stakeholder groups. • Develop integrated project plans, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies. • Lead status reviews, resolve blockers, and escalate risks as needed. • Identify opportunities to streamline assortment planning workflows and tooling. The expertise you bring: • 5+ years of Microsoft experience. • 8+ years managing complex, cross-functional programs supporting data, reporting, and category or product initiatives. • Experience working with consumer retail, silicon, and device partners. • Strong Excel, BI reporting, data tracking, and PowerPoint presentation expertise. • Advanced analytical skills in portfolio planning, data visualization, and performance reporting. • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a highly matrixed environment.
