Job Summary: The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (CPRSS) is an individual who uses their lived experience with addiction and recovery to provide support, guidance, and advocacy to individuals who are seeking recovery from substance use disorders or behavioral health issues. Core Responsibilities: Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders and behavioral health challenges. Share personal experiences and insights to inspire hope, promote self-empowerment, and build rapport with individuals in recovery. Assist individuals in developing and implementing individualized recovery plans and goals. Advocate for individuals in recovery to access appropriate treatment, resources, and support services. Facilitate support groups, peer-led meetings, and community-based recovery activities. Collaborate with treatment providers, counselors, and other professionals to ensure holistic care for individuals in recovery. Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions with individuals seeking support. Provide education and information on addiction recovery, coping strategies, self-care, and wellness. Document interactions, progress, and outcomes of peer support services accurately and timely. Stay informed about best practices in peer support, addiction recovery, and behavioral health services. Other duties and tasks as assigned. Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. License Requirements: Certified Peer Recovery Support License required. CPR certification required, will train upon hire. Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, be 21 years or older, and be deemed insurable through Team Recovery's insurance carrier. Experience Requirements: Preferred experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, with a strong understanding of peer recovery services.
