Job Description: Over the years we have grown from a locally owned preowned vehicle lot to 3 stores, a Chevrolet store, a Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram store, and a multi-franchised RV store. Between those stores we have over 600 units in stock. We have also grown as a family focused employer with over 130 employees, many of which have grown with the organization. We are still growing and looking to add quality people to our organization. Diesel Service Technician Diesel Service Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on Diesel Vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Factory standards Diesel automotive technicians diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification Diesel Mechanics provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs Explain diesel mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made. Job Requirement:As a Diesel Service Technician (Diesel Automotive Mechanic), you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Diesel Service Technician: Factory Diesel Certified technicians HIGHLY preferred All Factory certified technicians considered and are encouraged to apply Willing to talk to recent tech school graduates Must hold a valid driver’s license- good driving record required Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc. We are an equal opportunity employer Ideal candidates will have: Experience in performing warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair service on various vehicle makes and models. Proven track record of achieving or over-achieving goals Outstanding communication skills Professional appearance and work ethic Great attitude with a high-energy personality Superior customer service skills Ability to read and comprehend instructions Ability to exercise good judgement Valid State drivers license and good driving record Compensation: We offer a credential based pay plan, enabling you to earn up to $55 per flag rate hour. Our benefits include health, vision, and dental, as well as 401K. We offer a tenured based vacation schedule, with up to 3 weeks paid. In addition to paid vacation, we also offer 5 days of paid sick leave after 1 year of employment. Team Granger offers 6 paid holidays per year.
