Description: • Draft, edit, and produce proposals in response to RFPs, RFIs, and other business inquiries. • Manage, update, and refine proposal templates, frameworks, and boilerplate language. • Tailor narratives and case studies to the needs of different clients and sectors ensuring all sections of proposals are cohesive and aligned with client requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to ensure content accuracy and strategic alignment. • Identify trends about what’s working and what hasn’t been working over time, and share those insights with the broader business development team. • Own the visual polish and consistency of proposal materials and pitch decks. • Format documents and presentations in Google Docs, Slides, Canva, or InDesign. • Support creative layout and light graphic design for business development assets. • Manage and maintain boilerplate materials, including case studies and other core assets, ensuring they remain accurate, up-to-date, and readily available for use across proposals and communications. • Conduct background research on prospects, sectors, and competitors to inform proposal development and business development strategies. • Research industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends to ensure proposals reflect up-to-date information and strengthen our competitive edge. • Manage scheduling and logistics for prospect calls, presentations, and meetings. • Take and summarize notes during screening and strategy calls to ensure clarity and alignment. • Help manage and maintain business development pipeline (via Hubspot) documentation and archives. • Serve as the project manager for the business development process, coordinating across teams as necessary, managing deadlines and deliverables, establishing clear lines of communication, and ensuring that all materials are submitted on time and meet prospective clients' expectations. • Support post-submission activities, including clarifications, presentations, and debriefings, ensuring all feedback is incorporated effectively. Requirements: • A knack for writing, editing, and proofreading with an eye for tone, clarity, and detail. • The ability to balance structure and deadlines with flexibility in a fast-moving environment. • Comfort managing multiple priorities, tracking deliverables, and keeping projects on schedule. • Strong instincts for formatting, layout, and visual presentation—bonus points for design experience. • Curiosity and critical thinking skills that turn complex ideas into compelling, client-ready stories. • Confidence in communicating with prospective clients and collaborating across internal teams. • Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to work smoothly with colleagues at all levels. • Experience with tools like Google Workspace and HubSpot (or a willingness to learn). • A proactive, self-starting mindset and a commitment to pitching in wherever needed. • Bonus: Experience working with nonprofits, foundations, or in a creative agency environment.
