The Junior Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automations for healthcare operations and finance. Working closely with the Program Director and Solution Architect, this role translates business process requirements into high-performing, efficient, and sustainable automation solutions. Success in this role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills, with a focus on automation technologies such as RPA, APIs, and OCR. Description Title: Junior Automation Specialist Reports to: Director, Solution Architecture Compensation: Competitive base, bonus, benefit stipend, unlimited PTO Location: Remote Responsibilities: • The primary responsibility is assisting Program Director and Solution Architect in daily tasks and projects • Tasks may include: • Utilize automation tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, and/or Microsoft to build, test, deploy, and maintain efficient and scalable automation solutions • Document, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain automation solutions utilizing the most appropriate technologies (RPA, API, OCR, etc.) and techniques • Additional tasks may include managing credentials, reviewing queuing and logging, reconciling information storage, improving exception management, and improving scheduling • Minimize automation downtime through monitoring automations, maintenance, analytics, and robust exception handling • Identify trends and areas of improvement to be implemented • Support the Tarpon community content and education with automation expertise; this includes, but is not limited to: Supporting development of assets (how-to-guides, templates, etc.) supporting various automation scenarios • Willingness to secure UiPath Certified RPA Developer Certification within 3 months of hiring • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data security standards Qualifications: • 1+ years' experience in Solution Architecture, Product Management or Design, and/or Development Preferred Experience: • 2+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle and/or healthcare related industries • Experience with a major EMR platform such as Epic, Cerner, or AthenaHealth • Proficiency in SQL report development • Experience with additional programming languages, such as Python, C++, etc. • Experience in automation infrastructure and configuration • Familiarity with common healthcare EDI transactions, such as 835, 277, etc. Competencies: • Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to work with customers and meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills used to investigate and make decisions • Strong written and oral communication skills • The ability to identify and share with leader data driven performance improvement opportunities Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
