Summary: We are partnered with a 100% employee-owned engineering and environmental consulting firm who is seeking an Air Quality Project Manager to join their growing team in Texas. In this role, you will oversee air quality permitting & compliance projects and drive business development efforts across a variety of sectors including power, industrial, commercial, transportation, and manufacturing. You will manage client relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee the technical execution of air quality assessments and permitting strategies across Texas. If you have an exceptional technical background in air quality permitting & compliance and strong network in the industry, we would be interested in speaking with you. This position will lead into an executive-level role with the firm in the long-term. This position is hybrid in Texas or can be remote for individuals not located near an office. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the technical expert overseeing and managing air quality permitting and compliance projects, including NSR, PSD, Title V, and minor source permits for facilities throughout Texas. • Ensure compliance with state and federal air quality regulations, including TCEQ rules and Clean Air Act requirements. • Drive business development efforts by securing repeat business through high-quality service, attending conferences and networking events, leveraging professional networks, and building a strong reputation in the industry. • Lead operational strategy for the air quality group with C-suite and other key leaders to determine long-term business objectives, track profit and loss, and optimize team performance. • Mentor junior staff and review technical work for quality and regulatory accuracy. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or related field. • Experience with NSR, PSD, Title V, and minor source permits in Texas. • Strong knowledge of state and federal level regulations. • Exceptional business development acumen; book of business is a plus. • Excellent project management skills and technical background in air quality.
