This role offers the opportunity to shape and run secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments while partnering with engineering teams to accelerate delivery. You will influence architecture, automation, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence for production-grade systems in a remote-first setting. Responsibilities: • Design, deploy, and operate scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP using IaC principles. • Build and maintain Terraform modules, GitOps pipelines, and CI/CD workflows to automate infrastructure provisioning and application delivery. • Manage container platforms using Kubernetes and Docker, including cluster lifecycle, upgrades, and observability integration. • Implement and enforce cloud and network security best practices, including VPC design, IAM policies, security groups, and vulnerability remediation. • Develop automation and tooling with Shell scripting and Python to streamline operational tasks and incident response. • Monitor system health with observability stacks, set meaningful SLIs/SLOs, and respond to production incidents to ensure reliability. • Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives to right-size resources and implement effective cost governance. Must-Have Skills: • Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and working knowledge of multi-cloud environments. • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, especially Terraform and module design. • Hands-on Kubernetes and container orchestration experience (cluster administration, Helm, operators). • Solid Linux system administration and scripting skills (Bash/Shell, Python). • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for automated deployments. • Practical knowledge of cloud security fundamentals: IAM, VPC, network segmentation, encryption, and compliance controls. Nice-to-Have Skills: • Cross-cloud tooling experience (multi-cloud networking, hybrid connectivity). • Familiarity with observability and AIOps tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog) and alerting/incident management practices. • Experience with FinOps platforms and demonstrated success in cloud cost optimization. • Knowledge of advanced networking concepts and cloud-native security platforms (CASB, WAF, CSPM). • Certifications such as AWS Certified, Azure Administrator/Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Engineer.
