Payroll Senior Associate (Remote - East Coast Preferred) Pay Range: $35 - $43/hour (W2) Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: Fully Remote (East Coast or Midwest preferred) About the Role We are seeking a Payroll Senior Associate to join a growing organization in a fully remote capacity. This role will support payroll operations for approximately 1,500 FTEs and 35 on-call employees, ensuring compliance and accuracy in a federal contractor environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Deltek Costpoint and ADP payroll systems, coupled with advanced Excel skills and a proven record in payroll compliance and reconciliation. Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 1,500+ employees, including on-call staff • Utilize Deltek Costpoint (required) and ADP payroll systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness • Maintain compliance with federal contractor requirements and internal policies • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and support general ledger accounting • Handle payroll audits, system validations, and compliance checks • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Accounting teams to resolve discrepancies • Ensure employee inquiries related to payroll are addressed accurately and promptly • Document and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and compliance Qualifications • 3-5+ years of payroll experience in a large-scale environment (1,000+ employees preferred) • Deltek Costpoint payroll experience required; ADP system knowledge strongly preferred • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations) • Experience with payroll compliance in a federal contracting environment • Attention to detail and proven ability to manage confidential data with accuracy • Experience in ledger accounting/account reconciliation for payroll is a strong plus • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Additional Details • Fully remote - candidates on the East Coast or Midwest are strongly preferred • Contract-to-hire opportunity with competitive hourly rate ($35 - $43/hr W2) • Non-unionized workforce, ESOP company structure • No lien processing required
