Finance - Data/Business Analyst 3 Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Finance - Data/Business Analyst for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Position Summary: Join our dynamic team responsible for managing everything related to subscriptions, budgeting, and ensuring effective planning and coordination. Collaborate across multiple teams, including revenue, cloud, and hardware, to manage all aspects of subscription planning. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: • Refresh and update monthly key reports, scorecards, and slides in collaboration with the team. • Maintain advanced models monthly. • Provide variance to forecast analysis across all relevant business metrics (SKU, platform, publisher, title-level). • Support ad-hoc analyses and deliverables as requested; provide data and insights across the broader team. • Document business processes and deliverables. • Update and refine business forecasting models during quarterly forecasting and annual planning processes to deliver a drivers-based forecast. • Deliver a weekly business outlook based on the latest trends and current forecasts. • Develop and prepare various analytical reports in support of business activities. • Partner with finance and content delivery teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date data is being used across all teams. • The role will consist of 20% meetings (1:1, stakeholder meetings), 60% independent analysis, reporting, and updates, and 20% reviews and meetings with sponsors. Qualifications: • 5 - 7 years of experience in the field. • Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a relevant field required. • A background in data analysis or FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) is helpful but not strictly required. • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams. • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and interpersonal skills (ability to speak up when data looks unusual or unclear). • Strong proficiency in Excel, advanced modeling, and significant experience with data modeling and forecasting. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently, virtually, and in a matrixed team. • Preferred (though not required) experience with subscriptions and/or gaming. • Familiarity with the gaming industry, business model, and titles. • Excellent Excel skills, particularly working with SQL-based data cubes and business model connections. • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with fluency in analytical frameworks, quantitative models, and market sizing. • Extensive financial modeling experience, with comfort in pressure testing key assumptions from multiple perspectives and explaining drivers simply to others. • Excellent executive communication skills (written and verbal), including a track record of leading synthesized and clear discussions with senior leaders to actionable decisions. • Experience with subscription businesses preferred. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with highly advanced Excel modeling, data analysis, and some work in Power BI. Experience working in a virtual environment. • Minimum 5 years of experience with FP&A, business analyst, or finance analyst roles, with extensive experience in storytelling of insights. • Minimum 5 years of experience working with and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
