Project Manager (High-End Architectural Millwork) Maryland Office | Local Travel Required Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 per year (Flexible based on experience) Benefits: Full Package (Health, Dental, Vision, etc.), Mileage/Parking Reimbursement, Performance Bonuses About the Role Are you tired of just "managing subcontractors" and want to actually be part of the craft? We are a premier architectural millwork firm that takes raw materials and builds custom, high-end environments. We are looking for a schedule-driven Project Manager to lead projects from the initial submittal phase through final installation. You will be the "CEO" of your projects, managing everything from $1,000 custom fixes to $7M large-scale build-outs. If you are detail-oriented, love the "cool" factor of custom woodworking, and know how to keep a project on a tight schedule, we want to talk to you. What You’ll Do • Own the Lifecycle: Manage 10–15 concurrent projects, overseeing the schedule, budget, and scope. • Site Presence: Spend about 20% of your time on-site in the DC/Baltimore/Northern Virginia area for field verification, site measurements, and progress checks. • Coordinate: Act as the bridge between General Contractors, architects, internal production teams (our shop floor), and specialty vendors (glass, stone, etc.). • Financial Management: Track all project costs, ensure material orders are placed to hit lead times, and manage project profitability. • Collaborate: Work closely with Assistant Project Managers and Shop Foremen to move designs from shop drawings to finished products. What We’re Looking For • Experience: 5+ years of Project Management in construction (Architectural Millwork experience is a massive plus). • The "Big Picture" Mindset: Ability to work backward from a deadline to ensure materials (often with 12-week lead times) arrive exactly when needed. • Communication: Strong email and verbal skills. You must be able to directly answer questions and provide clear updates to demanding clients. • Collaboration: We are looking for a "team player," not a "lone wolf." You must be able to delegate tasks to Assistant PMs and work alongside our craftsmen. • Local Knowledge: Ability to navigate job sites from Baltimore down to Northern Virginia. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent mix of field experience and education. • Proficiency in MS Office/Excel (Smartsheet experience is a plus). • Knowledge of LEED requirements or FSC certification is a plus. • PMP or CCM certifications are a plus. Why Join Us? • The Craft: You aren't just pushing paper; you are helping build tangible, award-winning wood interiors. • Support: You report to a Director of PM and have access to talented internal engineering and production teams. • Stable Growth: We have a heavy backlog of exciting projects for 2026. Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
