Position: Road Transportation Manager, AMC Join Amrize as a Road Transportation Manager and help optimize the movement of aggregate products while building a career with a company shaping North America. Employment Type • Full-time Location • Eagan, Minnesota (with regional responsibilities) About the Role The Road Transportation Manager is responsible for efficiently managing all aspects of aggregate product movement by truck, both intra-company and outbound to customers. This includes contract management, carrier performance, and ensuring timely delivery at optimal cost, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities • Lead and promote a culture of safety across all transportation operations, adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies. • Ensure Amrize’s 5 Rules of Health and Safety are followed by all carriers, employees, and site visitors. • Develop and implement the regional ACM Road Transportation strategy with the trucking group. • Identify, share, and implement best practices across regions. • Manage carrier contracts, prequalification standards (Avetta), and vendor compliance. • Track, account for, and report key transportation initiatives and performance metrics. • Maintain strategic alliances with significant carriers, build regional capacity, and monitor efficiencies. • Continuously review and refine strategies and best practices to improve operational performance. • Stay informed on industry developments through trade associations, government contacts, journals, seminars, and conferences. Qualifications Education: • Bachelor’s degree, or 8 years of experience with a High School diploma Work Experience: • Minimum 5 years of logistics, transportation, or fleet management experience Technical Skills: • Strong leadership, negotiation, and contract management skills Additional Requirements: • Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved PPE, including respirators where required. Employees must be clean-shaven to pass fit tests when respirators are necessary.
