Your Opportunity: The Herff Jones team is looking for a Seasonal General Labor to join our HJ Family in Framing Success in Virginia Beach, VA. What You’ll Be Doing On A Daily Basis: We need to bring in a temporary general laborer as soon as possible. This person would float between making boxes for final assembly and opening boxes and inspecting wood for the frames department. This person also may be cross trained in other positions on the assembly line. What You’ll Bring to the Table: (make sure you include years of experience and skills needed) MUST move at a fast pace (600 to 1000 boxes per day at our top levels or open and inspect 5 molding boxes an hour.) Be able to lift 50lbs throughout the day. Be able to stand 10 hours per day. Position that does NOT require ruler proficiency. However, it is beneficial for earning a permanent position if one were to become available Education / Certifications Required (if needed): High School Diploma or GED required. Previous success in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in going above and beyond to help the team achieve a goal. Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record. Physical Requirements: Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting. Reading, communication, math. Working at a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
