Full Description

Location: Huntsville, AL Facility: On-Site Security Clearance: Active Secret and/or the ability to obtain Travel: 30% Summary T2S Solutions is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to develop and execute mission-aligned communications across a DoD and commercial space enterprise, including Congressional engagement support aligned with the annual federal budget process. This role translates complex technical and operational work—spanning satellite systems, payload operations, ground infrastructure, and mission execution—into clear, accurate messaging for government customers, Congressional stakeholders, commercial partners, and internal leadership, while operating within strict security and compliance constraints. Key Responsibilities Strategic Messaging & Content Development • Develop and maintain strategic messaging aligned with organizational objectives, mission priorities, and customer needs • Translate complex technical and operational topics into clear, accurate communications for both technical and non-technical audiences • Draft and coordinate executive-level communications, including talking points, briefings, white papers, internal announcements, and external-facing materials Congressional Engagement & Budget Alignment • Support Congressional engagement strategies aligned with the annual federal budget and appropriations cycle • Develop messaging, briefing materials, and background content that support Congressional staff engagements, hearings, and informational briefings • Align communications with program milestones, capability roadmaps, and funding timelines to ensure consistency throughout the budget year • Ensure all materials adhere to legal, security, and ethical guidelines, in coordination with Legal, FSO, and compliance teams Government, Partner & External Communications • Support communications with DoD customers, government stakeholders, and commercial partners • Coordinate messaging for program milestones, operational achievements, and approved public disclosures Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with Program Management, Systems Engineering, Operations, Cybersecurity, Legal, and Leadership to ensure communications are accurate, consistent, and audience appropriate • Serve as a trusted advisor on what to communicate, how to communicate it, and when in sensitive environments Required Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Political Science, or a related field and 5+ years of experience in strategic communications, preferably supporting DoD, federal programs, or government-adjacent organizations • Experience developing communications for Congressional audiences or budget-related engagements • Proven ability to communicate complex technical or operational information clearly and accurately • Ability to operate effectively in regulated, security-conscious environments • Active security clearance or ability to obtain one Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting space, defense, or aerospace programs • Familiarity with Congressional / DoW budgeting processes and acquisition timelines • Experience working with Congressional staffers, government affairs teams, or public affairs offices • Understanding of classification, export control, and security constraints on communications What We Offer • High-impact role shaping how complex space programs are communicated to key stakeholders • Close collaboration with executive leadership, program management, and government-facing teams • Opportunity to influence communications across technical, operational, and policy domains • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits T2S Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veteran/Disability
