Title: Full Stack Java Lead Developer with GCP Cloud Experience (only W2 Position – No C2C Accepted) 8.22.25 Description: STG is a SEI CMMi Level 5 company with several Fortune 500 and State Government clients. STG has an opening forFull Stack Java Developer with GCP Cloud Experience. Please note that this project assignment is with our own direct clients. We do not go through any vendors. STG only does business with direct end clients. This is expected to be a long-term position. STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it. Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead with deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot to join our dynamic Order Management team. Our existing team comprises strong functional and technical experts in IBM Sterling OMS. This role is pivotal in elevating our code quality, fostering technical excellence, and guiding our team in modern software development practices. You will serve as a hands-on mentor, driving best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Skills Required: • Spring Boot, Microservices, Java • PostgreSQL, Angular, GCP, React • 8+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a significant focus on Java and Spring Boot and familiar with multiple JDK versions including JDK 21 and above. • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer role with demonstrated leadership and mentoring responsibilities. • Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot. Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage). • Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) • Experience with RESTful API design and development. • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. • Experience with ecommerce and order management platforms/ solutions • Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Pub sub, Kafka, IBM MQ). • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Java applications in a cloud environment. • Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus. Education Required: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, engineering or related disciplines.
