Job Title: Technical WriterLocation: Cudahy, WIEmployment Type: Long-term Contract/ Full-Time (12-18 months)Shift: Monday–Friday with some off-shift responsibilitiesPosition OverviewSystem One is seeking Technical Writers to support our client based in Cudahy, WI. This is a long-term contract opportunity, with full-time work hours.In this role, you will create clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation such as procedures and training materials for a diverse audience. You will collaborate across departments—working with engineers, safety professionals, environmental teams, maintenance, and a represented workforce—to support operational excellence and ensure document accuracy and accessibility.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather technical content through observation, interviews, notes, and photosTranslate technical information into accessible procedures and training guidesEnsure documentation adheres to company formatting and content standardsIncorporate feedback to improve document usability and clarityEdit and maintain consistency and accuracy across all documentationPrioritize tasks based on business needs and team goals in collaboration with supervisorsPromote and maintain a safe work cultureIdentify and resolve issues related to documentation processesConduct audits of document distribution and identify discrepanciesRequired QualificationsAssociate’s degree with 1+ year of writing experienceOR high school diploma with 3+ years of writing experienceAbility to wear both half and full-face respiratorsStrong written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of confidentiality and data privacy standardsExperience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environmentFamiliarity with represented environmentsBachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field2+ years of experience writing procedural documentsHigh attention to detail and qualityExcellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlinesSelf-motivated with a strong sense of ownershipStrong research skills and ability to independently seek answersProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Word, Excel, and Outlook #J-18808-Ljbffr
