We are seeking a skilled System Auxiliary Engineer to join our team in Oakland, California. This role involves supporting and maintaining auxiliary systems critical to our operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, upgrade, and document system processes in a hybrid work environment. You will monitor and maintain auxiliary systems to ensure continuous operation and compliance with safety standards. You will perform regular system diagnostics and implement necessary repairs or upgrades. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance. You will develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and maintenance activities. You will assist in the design and integration of new auxiliary system components. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and security requirements. You will provide technical support and training to junior staff and other departments as needed. You will participate in emergency response and troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime. You bring a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. You have 3+ years of experience in system engineering or a similar technical role. You possess strong knowledge of auxiliary systems and their operational requirements. You have experience with system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. You demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. You have effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus points if you have experience with hybrid work models and remote system monitoring. Familiarity with security clearance processes and compliance standards is a plus. Experience with CAD software and system design tools is advantageous.
