Job Title: Software Engineer - Contractor Company Overview: System One is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions specializing in risk mitigation and operational efficiency. Role Overview: As a Software Engineer Contractor at System One, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining software applications that support our risk mitigation initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize solutions that enhance our clients' operational capabilities. What You'll Do: - You will develop, test, and deploy software applications in a hybrid work environment. - You will collaborate with product managers and other engineers to define software requirements and specifications. - You will troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues. - You will participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools. - You will maintain documentation related to software design, development, and deployment. - You will support integration of software components with existing systems. What You Bring: - You bring at least 3 years of professional experience in software development. - You have strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. - You have experience working in a hybrid work setting with the ability to be onsite 3 days per week. - You possess solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. - You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in risk management or financial services software development. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
