Role Overview: As a Senior Signalling System Engineer at System One, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced signalling systems for rail and transit projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. What You'll Do: - You will design and develop signalling system architectures and components for complex rail projects. - You will lead system integration and testing activities to ensure functionality and safety. - You will collaborate with project managers, clients, and technical teams to define requirements and deliver solutions. - You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to signalling systems. - You will prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and compliance records. - You will mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. - You will stay updated on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies. - You will support project planning and risk management efforts. What You Bring: - Minimum of 7 years of experience in signalling system engineering or related fields. - Strong knowledge of railway signalling principles, standards, and safety protocols. - Proficiency with signalling design software and simulation tools. - Experience with system integration, testing, and validation processes. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification. - Experience with Positive Train Control (PTC) systems. - Background in software development or programming related to signalling. - Familiarity with federal and state transportation regulations.
