Role Overview: As a Civil/Structural Engineer focused on design, you will play a critical role in advancing advanced nuclear technology projects. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and safety of complex systems, contributing to the development of sustainable and innovative energy solutions. What You'll Do: - You will design and analyze structural components for advanced nuclear technology projects. - You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering solutions that meet safety and regulatory standards. - You will prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports. - You will conduct structural assessments and provide recommendations for improvements. - You will support project management activities including scheduling and resource allocation. - You will ensure compliance with industry codes and standards throughout the design process. - You will participate in technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. - You will communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to align project goals. What You Bring: - You have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - You have 5+ years of experience in civil or structural engineering design, preferably in the energy sector. - You are proficient with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro. - You have strong knowledge of industry codes including ACI, AISC, and ASCE standards. - You possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - You have effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working on nuclear or advanced energy projects. - Professional Engineer (PE) license. - Familiarity with project management software like Primavera or MS Project. - Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools.
