Facilities Manager Location: Plano, Texas (SAC Factory) Department: Operations Reports to: Factory Manager Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to lead the setup and ongoing management of our new electronics manufacturing facility in Plano, Texas. This role is critical in establishing the infrastructure, processes, and environment needed to support high-quality production, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has proven experience building facility operations from the ground up and thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. Key Responsibilities Facility Operations • Lead the initial setup and commissioning of the new facility, including construction oversight, tenant improvements, utilities, and equipment installation. • Manage ongoing daily operations: building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), maintenance, janitorial, landscaping, and security. • Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime. Health, Safety & Compliance • Establish EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) protocols aligned with OSHA, NFPA, and industry standards for electronics manufacturing. • Coordinate with fire marshals, inspectors, and regulatory authorities to secure permits and occupancy approvals. • Develop and maintain emergency response, evacuation, and workplace safety plans in coordination with leadership. Vendor & Contractor Management • Select and manage external vendors, service providers, and contractors for construction, facility services, and equipment support. • Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements to optimize cost and performance. Budget & Resource Management • Develop and manage budgets for facility setup, operations, and upgrades. • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational reliability. Oversight • Oversee reception/administrative functions, including office supplies, reception coverage, and general services. • Manage reception staff to coordinate logistics for internal events, meetings, and external visits (e.g., customer tours, audits). Space & Infrastructure Planning • Coordinate space planning for production floors, offices, warehouse areas, and cleanrooms. • Manage relocation or expansion projects as the facility scales. Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement • Advise management on facility strategies to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and employee experience. • Benchmark best practices in electronics manufacturing facility management and implement relevant improvements. Qualifications • Experience: • 5+ years of progressive experience in facility and administrative management. • Proven track record in setting up new facilities, preferably in electronics manufacturing or related industries (EMS/ODM/automotive/aerospace/medical device environments a plus). • Familiarity with SMT/PCBAcleanroom setups and manufacturing support systems is highly desirable. • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field or additional equivalent experience. • Technical Skills: Facility management systems, OSHA/EHS compliance, contract/vendor management. • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in ambiguity and build processes from scratch. • Other: Ability to liaise with HQ and local authorities; bilingual (English/Mandarin) preferred but not required.
