Full Description

SyntheticFi is a Y Combinator-backed FinTech startup reimagining how people access liquidity. Instead of forcing clients to sell investments, we help them unlock the value of their portfolios through securities-backed loans powered by innovative derivatives strategies. As a fast-growing startup, our mission is to democratize institutional-grade financial tools and give individuals, families, and advisors smarter ways to borrow. Position Overview As our Advisor Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with the advisors. You need to help financial advisors navigate how to use SyntheticFi with their clients, and ultimately maximize the value that SyntheticFi can provide to their practice. The success of your role is defined by driving adoption, retention, and expansion opportunities with financial advisors and RIA firms we have signed. This is a good fit if you are interested in Customer Success, or starting a wholesaler career as an internal wholesaler. Key Responsibilities Client scenario consulting: Using your knowledge of the SyntheticFi product to help financial advisors think about how to use it with their specific client scenarios. This includes preparing client proposals, joining meetings with clients, organizing webinars, etc. Advisor Onboarding & Support: Meet with financial advisors that are new to using SyntheticFi. Guide them through the implementation process. Relationship management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining ongoing communication and trust. Expansion: Leverage relationships with existing advisors to develop referrals to other advisor friends and colleagues. Feedback Loop: Collect and communicate customer feedback to internal teams (product, engineering, operations) to inform roadmap decisions. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency, potentially by assisting with the implementation of new software or automation tools. New Product Contribution: Collaborate on the development of new financial products by assessing their operational feasibility, outlining required workflows, and testing implementation processes. Required Experience & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Excellent interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across all levels of client organizations. Financial Knowledge: A strong foundational understanding of financial markets, with demonstrable knowledge of options and derivatives. Analytical mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude. Compliance: Able to pass Series 65 exam to be an Investment Advisor Representative.
