Operate and maintain packaging equipment, perform maintenance and repairs, document activities, ensure quality standards, and train new operators.
At least 3 years manufacturing/process experience, high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, ability to lift heavy weights, strong communication, and flexibility for shifts and overtime.
In this role, you will safely operate and maintain packaging and palletizer equipment to ensure efficient production while monitoring plant operations and tracking controls, gauges, and instruments to maintain overall performance. You"ll perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime, document maintenance needs, and create work orders in the management system, managing the CMMS to ensure accurate updates and tracking. The position involves conducting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs as needed, as well as verifying bag weight and quality through hardness and vacuum (Durometer) testing. You"ll also complete logs and reports related to downtime, parts usage, and shift activities. Additionally, you will train and mentor new operators to promote a safe and efficient work environment, maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety and quality standards, and perform additional duties as required. Hands-on work willingness and mechanical inclination. Minimum of three or more years manufacturing/process experience Experience troubleshooting equipment is helpful. High school diploma or GED required. Strong communication skills. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Able to stand for extended periods of time. Flexibility for overtime and shift hours required.
