Full Description

Deputy Program Director - Delivery (Construction for Filtration project) Role Overview: The Deputy Program Director - Delivery focuses on the execution and successful delivery of the program's projects. This role acts as second-in-command to the Program Director for project delivery, overseeing day-to-day progress on both the filtration facility and pipeline projects. The Deputy Director (Delivery) works closely with project assurance managers, construction managers, and controls sta) to ensure each project meets its schedule and budget, and that any delivery challenges are proactively managed. Key Responsibilities • Works closely with the Program Director and Deputy Program Director - Administration to ensure overall success of the program. • Directly oversees the project delivery teams (assurance managers, inspectors, construction managers, etc.), ensuring that each project is progressing according to plan and adhering to the program's objectives for safety, cost, schedule, and quality. • Monitors project schedules and milestones, coordinating with the Scheduler to track progress and with the Cost Control team to manage the GMP budget. Initiates corrective actions or resource adjustments if a project is lagging or overrunning costs. • Manages integration of program-wide initiatives such as system-wide shutdowns or tie-ins. Works with operations (and the O&M Advisor) to plan outages or transitions needed to bring the new systems online with minimal disruption. • Facilitates problem-solving and decision-making on delivery issues - for example,resolving conflicts between contractors and designers or expediting critical procurements - to keep work on track. • Ensures that construction management and contractor teams have the support and direction needed for e)icient project execution. This includes regular coordination meetings and status reporting to quickly identify and address issues. • Reports to the Program Director on the overall delivery status. Provides input on strategic decisions and assists in communication with stakeholders about project delivery (e.g., explaining progress or delays in internal briefings). • Supports commissioning and turnover processes by coordinating the e)orts of the Commissioning Manager, Project Controls Manager, and other specialists so that all systems (mechanical, electrical, controls, etc.) integrate properly during testing and acceptance.
