The Opportunity: This role is for a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to significantly contribute to the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of Syncro's software applications, which includes both the web-based SaaS platform and potentially the Syncro agent deployed to over 2 million endpoints across the Windows and Mac ecosystem. You will be developing new components and features, shared libraries, and APIs across different parts of the platform. This role requires some technical leadership, with duties including leading projects from start to finish, mentoring other team members, proposing architectural solutions, and exploring new technologies, frameworks and standards for possible team adoption. You will be working 100% remotely. What You’ll Be Doing: Design and develop robust software solutions across the Syncro platform, potentially including the desktop agent, using foundational engineering principles and adhering to established architecture, frameworks, coding standards, design patterns, and best practices Lead architectural discussions and propose technical direction for significant platform areas Scope and lead the development and rapid delivery of scalable, performant features Mentor and guide more junior engineers, helping them grow and continue to develop their skill sets Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure seamless integration with existing systems Incorporate feedback from code reviews and produce clean, readable, testable code generally in adherence with object oriented principles Contribute to test plans and write appropriate unit, integration, and system tests Produce effective test automation to help ensure that our CI/CD pipeline maintains a high level of quality enabling rapid deployment Collaborate with QA to ensure features are tested appropriately Contribute significantly to epics / initiatives Provide accurate status and clearly communicate ahead of time if commitments won't be met Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues Stay updated on the latest technologies, frameworks, and industry trends relevant to the tech stack and platform Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge base articles Who You Are: Demonstrates technical leadership by guiding teams and influencing technical direction Effectively communicates as an active participant in team discussions, ceremonies, and slack channels Operates independently with minimal oversight and supervision Comfortable working in an Agile software development environment Strong sense of ownership and ability to work cross functionally Passion for troubleshooting and problem solving Must have skills: 5+ years professional experience and mastery with Ruby on Rails 4+ years experience with React and Javascript Experience building, and operating scalable applications Work experience in a SaaS and Scrum environment Experience with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server Experience with web communication protocols such as REST, gRPC or SOAP Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) Organizational and leadership skills, including experience as a technical lead on previous projects Nice to have skills: Professional experience with C# and .NET Experience with desktop development If you are a passionate and deeply technical software engineer with a strong drive to rapidly create robust, scalable applications, we encourage you to apply.
